How Home Visiting Works
The secret sauce to home visiting is an ongoing, trusted relationship between a family and a home visitor. A variety of evidence-based home visiting models have developed curricula to assist parents in meeting a range of family goals and needs, including healthy pregnancy, maternal and child health, family well-being, economic self-sufficiency, child safety, and school readiness. Within their curriculum and evidence base, all home visitors adjust their approach to respond to parents’ preferences and needs.
